United We Fail

Had a horrible pick up group today for the quest united we stand.  I had high hopes at the start, everyone gathered pretty quickly and we didn't have to wait on anyone.  But it pretty much went to hell from there, people running around and aggroing stuff, wiping the party, dc'ing.  It took nearly 2 hours to get to the boss fight, something that took 10 min tops the first time I did this.

If I was smart I would have just left, I knew before we even started the boss fight that it wouldn't go well.  We wiped so fast it wasn't even funny.  It was time for maintence anyway so I cut my losses and homepointed.

I am not looking forward to doing that fight again, already failed a few times, it just sucks...at first I thought the 5k seal reward was worth it, now, not so much.

Hamlet

So I finally got into hamlet, had so much fun doing with this really cool LS.  They used vent which made it really easy.  I forgot to take a screenshot doing with them, but I got one of this pick up group that sucked worse then words.  We did it twice and didn't even come close to beating it...I think I got spoiled with the other group.

Kweh?!

Did some chocobo escort quests today, so awesome, I can't believe I never did this before now.  It is such a great way to make GC seals, along with a nice little anima boost.  I will definitely be doing a lot more of this.

Alliance

Did some new questing today, a lot of running around trying to get all the 3 nations to team up and fight the bad guys.  Still haven't finished it yet though, need a full party to do that, but got all the foot work out of the way.  It was kind of cool to see the "Presidents Room" in each nation though.

Nap Time

Today I took a few two hour naps so I could start the new Inn quests.  I hate that I'm an elf, no matter how they do it I always look retarded when lay in a bed.  I seriously can't wait to change my race, it's the thing I'm most looking forward to when 2.0 comes out.

Provider of the Realm

Finally hit 50 on all my gathering jobs.  Took a long time but it was worth it to burn the whole thing with leves.  Made a crap ton of gil on leve rewards and all the awesome mats I collected on the way.  Now I can finally use my leves to level up my crafts from 45-50, I guess after that I'll use them to level up some dow/m jobs.

I'm hoping that I can get every job at 50 by the time the servers go offline for 2.0, gonna be close.

Most Adorable Death Ever

Did the moogle fight today, kind of reminded me of the moogle fight on ffxi.  One big moogle and a ton of little minions.  Except this fight was much harder then the ffxi one.  We did it twice, wiped once, it wasn't that fun but cool anyway I guess.

Garuda

I'm really glad that they brought back a few of the primals from ffxi.  I recently started the garuda stuff, this was just the baby garuda fight, which was like 100 times harder then the baby ifrit fight.  We nearly wiped a couple times but it was fun, kinda.  Anyway she looks bad ass!
